How customers opt in
Customers may verbally opt in during a phone call or in person to receive informational text messages from H.N. Funkhouser & Co. about account updates, deliveries, service notifications, and customer care.
Staff script
“Before we send text messages to your mobile phone, I need your permission. May I confirm the mobile number we have for you is [customer mobile number]? With your permission, H.N. Funkhouser & Co. may send text messages to this mobile number about account updates, deliveries, service notifications, and customer care. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and you can request help by replying HELP. Do I have your permission for H.N. Funkhouser & Co. to send those text messages to this mobile number?”
How consent is recorded
Accepted or declined consent is recorded in the customer’s Cargas account notes or call log, including date, time, mobile number, and message type.
Sample conversation
Staff: “Do I have your permission to send those text messages?”
Customer: “Yes.”
Staff: “Thank you. I have recorded your consent.”
